The Context

Aug 2019. We wanted to reduce information gap between discount offers and interested shoppers who need it the most.
It’s the experience from my university life when I had to be in a very strict budget. I always seek for offers so that I can buy my things at low cost. But often I missed them and feel sad.

I was visiting shop to shop for hours in search of offers. Some time there is and
sometime there isn’t.I thought if their any better way to get to know all offers which I search for? But until after mid-2019, after becoming a UX designer, I took it seriously how to reduce this information gap?

The Problem

Discounts are lucrative. But people who need it the most can’t utilize it because there was no place to find all the discount offers in one place. On the other hand, businesses waste lots of time to sell-out discounted products.

The Objective

Research, strategize and design an end-to-end mobile app based platform to help people get to know about all necessary discounts they can shop, with a focus on increasing conversion rates by 50% for business.

Conceptualize

After getting user pinpoint, we began to conceptualize the solution.
We had to think about 3 factors below.

Ideation on delivering value to business out of it’s discount sale

We got it challenging to identify the brands value which will be incurred from posting the offers here. The ideation expressed in 3 key points.
  • Data visualization

    The cash flow from the brands on posting discounts will generate only when the can see the result. So visualizing how much user reached, how much interaction happened — was crucial factors.
  • Interaction related to the offers

    User have capability to interact with the offers.
  • Maximize sale faster

    The end result of delivering value to brands should be the maximizing sale. The store traffic should be significantly more.

What we focused on to get user engagement

We found out that, user interaction and engagement is the crucial factor to deliver value to both user and the brand. So, we primarily focused on 3 factors targeting user engagement.
  • Real offers

    Fake offer users hate most and one of the pain point.
  • Products and experiences

    Aside products like apparels, gadgets, electronics, shoes, cosmetics & furnishes; the experiences like restaurants, resorts etc seems exciting to attract users.
  • Efficient notification

    The notifications that user needs most.
